Medical Missionaries was founded in response to a pastor’s heartfelt call to address the severe lack of healthcare in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Dr. Irwin, deeply moved by the urgent medical needs he witnessed in underserved regions, took action. Recognizing that Haiti had virtually no healthcare infrastructure, he rallied support from his Knights of Columbus Council 5332 in Manassas, Virginia. Together, they established a 24/7 medical facility that now serves over 25,000 patients annually and safely delivers 50 to 60 babies each year. Guided by faith, compassion, and community support, this mission continues to bring vital care and lasting hope to thousands in Haiti.
