As a Green Beret medic, Gary Rose was exposed to machine gun fire while treating dozens of wounded soldiers during Operation Tailwind, a secret mission in Laos in September 1970. Rose is credited with saving the lives of 60 men during four days of combat. For his courage, he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor after the declassification of the mission. He continues to be an inspiration through his commitment to charity.
